Loan Application Process

 

1. Verification of Materials and Equipment Eligibility for Loan
The Client reads the Supplier Loan eligibility criteria and conditions, and checks the List of Eligible Materials and Equipment (LEME) on this page or at the nearest National Bank of Egypt (NBE) local branch (find nearest branch to you).The Client prepares proof that their materials and/or equipment are included in that list, and attaches the necessary equipment technical specifications or datasheets and a pro-forma invoice, along with the application form.

2. Application Submission
The Client obtains the EgyptSEFF Supplier Loan application form from this page or from the nearest NBE local branch, fills in and completes the application form, and submits it through this page or to an NBE branch, including the technical specifications/data sheets of the equipment.

3. Eligibility and Creditworthiness Check
The NBE assesses the creditworthiness of the client. If found creditworthy, the pro-forma invoice of the required investment and the application are then forwarded to the Project Consultant (PC) for the technical screening.

4. Technical and Business Eligibility Check
The PC checks the eligibility of the supplier, installer or manufacturer under the LEME and the List of Eligible Suppliers and Installers (LESI) criteria, as well as the eligibility of the investment. The PC will also verify the supplier’s business plan and commercial aspects of the business. If found eligible, the PC forwards the application to the NBE.

5. Loan Approval and Disbursement
The Client signs a Loan Agreement with the NBE following the setting of conditions between the bank and the Client; and the loan will be disbursed to the Client.

6. Project Implementation and Verification

The client implements the project financed under EgyptSEFF. The Project Consultant may monitor investment implementation as applicable.
